gyu kaku

A while back we went to try this japanese bbq style type of restaurant. Cooking our own food was quite fun! I had fun and it was interesting. The only complaint was that I felt a little squashed in our booth. It was just me and my other friend but the table and sitting area did feel a bit crowded. I didn't have much leg room due to the grill which is in the center of the table/post. But the grill has to go somewhere so guess u can't really complain bout that. We ordered a bunch of stuff: chicken steak, shrimp, kalbi etc. It was yummy! I had this coupon that was a buy one get one so that's what we used when we purchased out steaks. And for the rest of our food we just ordered off the happy hour menu. Out total came out to $35 more or less which is a little more expensive than out usual budget. However the experience and and food made it worth it. We went before 5 o clock so it wasn't crowded at all! 

cheesecake factory

Went a while ago and this is what I got! We decided to get take out so we didn't have to wait in line to be seated..we just wanted cheesecake lol. I got the Hershey's pie one, which I have had before. It's soo delicious and chocolately! Since the slices are nicely sized, I ate a part of it at home then saved the rest for later. I feel like I have to eat it little by little cause that's a whole lot of chocolate haha. It was around $8 or so. 

north shore grindz

Like last month or so we went to the north shore to go get some shrimp! We decided to go to mackys because we had a coupon from the entertainment book. It was $2 off a plate so instead of paying $12 we only had to pay $10 each. I must say this shrimp was DELICIOUS!! We both got the garlic shrimp which is apparently the most popular-and with reason! I'm not exaggerating how yummy it was! The plate was well proportioned: it had about 7 or so pieces of shrimp, rice, salad, and a slice of pineapple. The shrimp was made so well! The pineapple was also yummy-not sour at all! We went later in the afternoon so it wasn't crowded. Our plates we're surprisingly made so quickly! I love this place because the food was ono, the staff were nice, and the wait wasn't long at all =)

like like drive inn

Went to Like like drive inn for the first time ever! I tried their saimin and it kept me ohh so warm =) The waitress was so nice too! Depending on what meal you order, it'll come with dinner rolls (our saimin originally doesn't but our waitress gave us some anyway). We also tried their ice cream which was a nice touch to a yummy meal =) This place has been around for forevers so I felt happy that I finally got to go =)

curry house

Went to curry house in the ala moana mall a while back and got my usual! (I've honestly never tried to order someting else before lol). Think it's called a spicy seafood curry or something like that. It was delicious as always!! I love it when food is delicious, filling, and very inexpensive =) 

hayashis sushi

I haven't had sushi in soooo long! I ordered the salmon roll which is like one of the cheapest things on the menu and sooo delicious! The fam bam also ordered the spicy ahi roll, california roll, and the ninja star roll. Idk why but this is my go-to place when it comes to sushi. I've tried other sushi spots here and there but I always come back to this place. The wait can be long sometimes so feel free to call ahead. yayy sushi!!

Thai food

So I only have 1 pic but oh well haha. We went to this local thai food place that has such delicious food!! We got the chicken wings, red and green curry, pad thai, and sticky rice =) I'm not really used to sticky rice but it was still pretty filling. The chicken in the pic above originally came with like 8 wings or something, I just took the pic in the middle of eating cause I was soo hungry heheh.

ono cheesesteak

Tried a cheesesteak for the first time =] and they are delicious!! wasn't sure if i would like it but i really did. I've heard of ono cheesesteak before but have never tried it out till recently. we went to the waikiki location. it's a small little place but i'm glad we went I got a small cheesesteak with mushrooms and we used my coupon from the entertainment book so was cheap! came out to around 7 bucks or something for 2 small cheesesteaks =] I really like everything about food. The bread was tasy..the steak was nice..the mushrooms were delicious..the cheese and I think they had some sort of sauce in it too- were all delicious!
